The Mashishimale community was a leader in land reform and invited investors to assist them in managing their land in a sustainable manner. Part of the land was made available for agriculture and was developed by Soleil Sitrus however the Mashishimale community wanted to attract tourists to share with them the unspoilt wonder that South Africa has to offer. Soleil and the Mashishimale community have an exceptional working relationship.
Shoswe Lodge subsequently commended and in January 2019 a complete renovation was done which now offers a modern yet rustic elegance to visitors. The Soleil brand signifies hope and growth and that is why members of the surrounding community are employed. Our employees are the perfect vessels to embody and exude the friendly and proffesional manner in which we treat our guests.
